As a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Texas, this issue is incredibly important to me—not just for our profession, but for our patients, our veterinary teams, and the pet owners who trust us every day.
Credentialed Veterinary Technicians complete rigorous education, pass a national licensing examination, and maintain continuing education requirements to earn and keep our credentials. Yet in Texas, the title "veterinary technician" is not adequately protected, creating confusion for the public and diminishing the value of the education, training, and expertise that licensed professionals bring to patient care.
I'm asking my friends, family, colleagues, and fellow animal lovers to take just a moment to sign this petition supporting title protection for Licensed Veterinary Technicians in Texas. Protecting our title helps promote transparency, strengthens our profession, and ensures the public can clearly identify credentialed veterinary professionals.
Every signature makes a difference. Thank you for helping support Texas LVTs and the future of veterinary medicine.
