Circadian rhythm regulates sleep, but researchers at UT Health San Antonio are investigating how this internal clock coordinates essential bodily functions throughout the day and night: Including blood pressure, heart rate and temperature.
Kevin Kornowski, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Structural Biology at the Long School of Medicine. His lab studies circadian rhythm, and as Texas Public Radio reports, he's currently working to understand the rhythm of fat metabolism.
