Culturingua is a community & economic development organization whose mission is to preserve, promote, and enhance the cultural character in and around San Antonio’s Silk Road Cultural Heritage District. They pair immigrant entrepreneurship, cultural placemaking, and public-sector partnership to expand belonging, business growth, and long-term community wealth.
Join us in our Silk Road Leadership and Entrepreneurship in the Arts Program:
Build the leadership and entrepreneurial skills to grow your creative career.
Presented in partnership with Culturingua, the Silk Road Cultural Heritage District, and the National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders
This training program is designed for young artists ages 18–24 who want to strengthen their leadership skills, develop an entrepreneurial mindset, and learn how to turn their creative work into sustainable opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their artistic or business idea, compete for a prize, and be selected to showcase their art or performance at the 2027 Silk Road District Festival or Kinected Art Gallery. The program is open to artists working in or studying any creative discipline, including visual, performing, literary, and culinary arts.
Tuition – Free, Advance registration required.
What You’ll Gain:
Pitch your creative idea for a chance to win one of three cash prizes ($500, $300, or $200)
Showcase your work at the 2027 Silk Road District Festival and/or Kinected Art Gallery
