The 18th Session of SGA made a lasting impact on our campus, bringing together advocacy, service, engagement, and student voice in meaningful ways. 🐾

From hosting 47+ tabling events across colleges and residence halls to creating direct feedback channels between students and leadership, we prioritized visibility and connection at every level. Through initiatives like Monday Movement, we built consistent, low-barrier spaces for students to engage, connect, and be heard.

We honored our community through traditions like Jaguars Remembered, giving space to reflect and celebrate the lives that shape our campus. We also invested in sustainability and student ownership through campus planting and cleanup efforts in collaboration with incredible campus partners.

Our first large-scale Food Drive addressed both food insecurity and hygiene access—bringing organizations together to collect 400+ pounds of essential items for students in need.

On the advocacy front, SGA pushed forward legislation to enhance the Student Service Fee, supporting long-term improvements in campus events, recreation, and student support services. We also continued strengthening our voice at the system level through CSAC, contributing to conversations on student leadership, academic planning, and basic needs support.

From safety initiatives and campus improvements to amplifying everyday student concerns, this year was about creating real, lasting change.

April was full of impact, service, and community! From hosting campus events like Movement Mondays and Taco ‘Bout It Tuesdays to giving back through service projects and honoring our fellow Jaguars at Jaguars Remembered—SGA has been busy making a difference.

We also celebrated outstanding leaders in our SGA Spotlight and recognized the incredible efforts of organizations in our Food Drive Competition 👏

This past Monday, we partnered with the College of Business for Pizza with the Dean to welcome our new COB Dean, Jorge Villegas!

Students had the chance to connect, ask questions, and hear more about his vision for the future of the college, all while enjoying some pizza 🍕

Earlier this month, we hosted another Power Hour: Understanding Your Student Bill! 🙌 Thank you to everyone who came out, asked questions, and took the time to better understand their finances.

Huge thank you to Student Business Services for helping break everything down and provide clarity on tuition, fees, and more. We hope you left feeling more confident navigating your bill!
