We have been offered an opportunity to potentially have a space at the TAMUSA Homecoming on Feb 21, 2026.

To make the event a success, we are looking for individuals to donate goods and lend items out for the morning. We are also looking for volunteers. Please take a look at the form and see if you can assist.

Join us for our Annual COBAA Alumni Brunch, celebrating the success of alumnus LeWayne Ballard, Class of ’13 & ’14.

LeWayne will join us for a Q&A to share his journey from Texas A&M University–San Antonio College of Business to his role as Chief Technology Officer at Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, and how TAMUSA helped shape his path.

The University is pleased to share that Dr. Jorge Villegas will be the new Dean for the College of Business at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Dr. Villegas joins us from the University of Illinois Springfield and will begin at A&M-San Antonio on Jan. 13, 2026.
With more than a decade of college leadership experience, he has made a lasting impact at the University of Illinois Springfield. Now in his seventh year as Associate Dean of the College of Business and Management, Dr. Villegas oversees online graduate programs, accreditation, AACSB assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
Recently, he served as the Interim Lead for the Vice Chancellor of Undergraduate Education Office. In this interim position, he managed the Office of Undergraduate Education, Center for Academic Success and Advising, and selected high-impact educational practices, including the university’s Engaged Citizenship Common Experience Speaker Series and First Year Seminar.

He has an impressive record of advancing student retention and on-time graduation, highlighted by his leadership in coordinating a U.S. Department of Education Title III grant exceeding $2 million. Strategic and assessment-driven, Dr. Villegas oversees continuous evaluation of programs and initiatives, leveraging data to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure measurable effectiveness.

Dr. Villegas is a collaborative leader with extensive experience working with stakeholders across the university, including academic departments, student affairs, enrollment, institutional research, offices of the University of Illinois System, and many others. He takes great pride in his holistic approach to student success.
