Thank you, Senator Schiff, for visiting SBCCD, engaging with local students from San Bernardino Valley College, Crafton Hills College, Cal State San Bernardino, and UC Riverside, and joining us at our district-owned KVCR studios.

Students spoke directly with Senator Schiff about the challenges they’re facing and the futures they’re working toward.

We also visited the future site of Legacy Village, our planned 500-unit affordable student and workforce housing community, designed to keep students and working families close to opportunity.

We appreciate Senator Schiff’s time and his commitment to hearing directly from Inland Empire students.

Congratulations to SBCCD Trustee Joseph R. Williams on his reappointment by Governor Newsom to the California Community Colleges Board of Governors, where he has served since 2020.

The Board of Governors helps guide California’s 73 community college districts and 116 colleges.
