Six students in the School of Journalism & Media Studies at San Diego State University have come together for a unique reporting project. JMS Mobile Reporting Lab debuted in fall 2013 with the task of covering the San Diego mayor's race for the SDSU community, reporting on the candidates and issues that matter most to the campus-based audience. The students involved -- all journalism majors with a

n interest in multi-platform news -- will complete their reporting, as well as video and multimedia production, exclusively on iPads. Content in both Spanish and English will be available on Twitter, YouTube and on the AztecNews website. Additionally, instructor Nicole Vargas will share her perspective of the project here on Facebook.
