Phi Theta Kappa at San Diego Mesa College We are the Mesa College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the OFFICIAL Honor Society for all community colleges in the United States.

Phi Theta Kappa is the oldest, most prestigious society of its kind, with over 95 years in existence, and over 2 million members worldwide. We foster leadership, community service, fellowship, and academic scholarship. The Mesa College chapter is known for much more than wearing our signature togas and sporting our Greek letters. We are known for being leaders on our campus and in our community. O

ur members are involved in their classes, involved in student government, and help to enrich college life by having times of fun and entertainment, too! We also believe in giving back our time and talents to those in need, and have been involved with many organizations including Our Daily Bread, The Surfrider Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and I Love a Clean San Diego. Being a member of Phi Theta Kappa is one of the highest honors a community college student can receive. Our members' college transcripts have Phi Theta Kappa noted on them, and our members wear distinctive graduation regalia at commencement, signifying their membership in our society.

Last chapter meeting for Spring 2014 semester will be next Wednesday, May 14 at 4 pm, at the Associated Student Government meeting room (Rm. I4-409). We will celebrate the chapter's 19th anniversary, and we will (finally) hold the election of officers for next year. Hope to see all of you there!
