The School of Exercise and Nutritional Sciences is excited to announce its new Master of Science in Kinesiology, launching in Fall 2027.

This research-driven program will prepare students to better understand human movement, improve health and make a meaningful impact in their communities and professions. With concentrations in Biomechanics & Motor Control and Physical Activity, students will gain hands-on experience in research, scientific communication and evidence-based practice.

CHHS students are making an impact through innovation, research and purpose-driven work. Congratulations to Abigail Wan and Hana Adan of the SDSU School of Public Health for earning finalist recognition in the Tulane Health Policy Case Competition. Their project focused on improving maternal health access and addressing disparities in rural communities, an inspiring example of public health in action.

The Academy for Professional Excellence, a project of the SDSU College of Health and Human Services’ School of Social Work, has been awarded a $4.5 million, three-year contract from the California Department of Social Services to serve as the statewide administrator for the California Child Welfare Training (CACWT).

Utilized by all 58 California counties and approximately 31,000 users, CACWT supports the training of professionals who serve children and families across the state.

This opportunity reflects our commitment to health equity, community well-being and preparing systems that better support people at every stage of life. Through innovation, collaboration and service, SDSU is honored to help strengthen the workforce that cares for communities statewide.
