**If you cannot make it to an info-session, watch the video-info session below**
This upcoming June 2020 I am leading the study-abroad program “Culture and Contemporary Life in Portugal and the North of Spain.” In a collaboration with FLAD’s Study in Portugal Network, and our colleagues at the U. of Santiago de Compostela, we will be staying 27 days in Lisbon, Porto and Santiago de Compostela (including day trips to Sintra, Coimbra, Guimarães, the Douro Valley, Vigo, Lugo and Cape Finisterra). This course generates 6 units of SDSU credit and is open to non-SDSU students.
Students can choose to enroll in Portuguese or Spanish courses and will conduct readings and complete assignments in the specific languages, accordingly. Students who do not speak Portuguese nor Spanish can also enroll in other SDSU General Education courses (Art and General Studies) and complete their readings and assignments in English.
This promises to be a very enriching program, at a relative low cost: $5223 (includes lodging, all transportation in the countries, some meals, 3 to 4 star hotels in Lisbon and Porto, the individual rooms at the USC dorms, international insurance, all entrances to museums, etc., and even some meals).
I have recorded a 30-minute video info-session, covering a slideshow on the contents of the program and instructions on how to enroll: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvLFmnoK0mE&feature=youtu.be Registration ends by March 15.
