Today was an INCREDIBLE and record breaking day of donations for our monthly Talmadge food drive at the San Diego Food Bank. This morning we collected a whopping 2,623 lbs of food, our best month to date! 🥳🤩👏 We are now at 12,139 lbs towards our goal of 13,000 for the year which surpasses last year's goal. Thank you Talmadge for your unwavering support in providing food for our less fortunate in San Diego County. We truly could not do this without you and each month you continue to amaze us!!! 🙌🌟

TALMADGE FOOD DRIVE NEWS! Hello Talmadge Residents!

On Friday Dec. 2nd we held our final food drive of 2022, and we closed out STRONG, collecting over 1,250 lbs of donated items from 44 households! Thank you SO MUCH to all those who donated food this month, and this year, and a big shout out to this month's volunteers: Merle, Jane, Lindsay, Tom, Mary & Karen, Kathy & Steve, Mike & Larry, and Tina & Craig.

From January to December of 2022, we have collected over 12,000 lbs of food and other items for the San Diego Food Bank and the Table of Hope! It's been over 2 years since we first began the Talmadge monthly food drives after the COVID-19 pandemic hit, to help those in our community who are facing food insecurity. Since then, we have had new signups every month to donate food as well as residents who have donated on multiple occasions, and even residents who continue to donate every single month! Thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of the Talmadge community, we have been able to help other folks in our community put meals on the table for their families.

We wish you a happy, safe, and healthy holiday season, and we'll see you again on Friday, Jan 6th for our 2023 food drive kick-off (look out for our flyers!)

Congratulations to our two winners of the Talmadge Raffle!
Thank you, Talmadge neighbors, for helping raise $2,000 by participating in the Talmadge raffles -- $2,000 went to help facilitate the Block Party on October 8th and the Talmadge Patrol.
