Instructor: Daniela Deutsch
Project: NMMST Future Vision Hall
Location: Keelung, Taiwan
The NMMST Future Vision Hall will transform the site next to the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology into a vibrant destination for local and international visitors. Designed by our students in collaboration with NMMST, it will strengthen the museum’s role as a hub for marine science, culture, and community engagement.
The development will feature a hotel, retail, cultural and entertainment venues, and public spaces within a 5–6 story, 85-foot-tall mixed-use complex. It is designed to encourage longer visits, support local businesses, and strengthen connections to Keelung’s waterfront.
Sustainability is central to the project, incorporating green building practices, energy-efficient systems, and expanded green spaces to honor NMMST’s legacy. More than a building, the Future Vision Hall is a catalyst for revitalizing Keelung’s waterfront by blending commerce, culture, and environmental responsibility.
