The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International
Was founded in 1922 by six nurses at what is now the Indiana University School of Nursing. The founders chose the name from the Greek words Storgé, Tharsos and Timé meaning "Love," "Courage" and "Honor." The STTI Zeta Mu at Large was formed in the late 1970's as a joint chapter of Point Loma Nazarene Univ.
