UCSD Associated Students Office of Local Affairs Local voices, local power, local knowledge. Student voices, student power, student knowledge. The office concerns itself with increasing accessibility to UCSD.

The Office of Local Affairs works to engage in community outreach by initiating programs, campaigns, and development projects that bring together members of the UCSD and greater San Diego communities. The Office facilitates communication between students, administrators, local legislators, and community members to enact and sustain programs and projects that work to address local: political, socia

l, and economic issues. The Office ensures that students have the ability to voice their opinions to the San Diego City Council, state representatives, and work on local matters that are of concern. The main goal of the office is to increase the presence of UCSD in the surrounding community while improving student awareness and advocacy.
