Setting boundaries with team members and donors can feel tricky in fundraising, especially when every “no” feels high-stakes. But boundaries don’t hurt relationships, they strengthen them by creating clarity and trust. 💡

Here are quick phrases you can use this to protect your time, energy, and relationships:

- “Let’s clarify which of these tasks should come first.”

- “I’m happy to continue the conversation, as long as we focus on [project/mission].”

- “That’s outside my role, but I appreciate you thinking of me!”

- “Let’s meet at the office or [insert public space].”

- “You can reach me during work hours, and I’ll follow up as soon as I’m able.”

- “I’m at capacity today. Can we schedule time to discuss next week?”
