Attention USD PILAS students. Student loan update for our community:
Starting July 1, 2026, federal student loan borrowers enrolled in auto pay can receive a 1% interest rate reduction.
To qualify, enroll in auto pay by September 30, 2026. The reduced rate will apply through June 30, 2028. Students already enrolled do not need to reapply.
Auto pay also helps you stay eligible for benefits like income-driven repayment plans and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).

Join Día de Mu***os and Community LATS-494. A 3-unit class open to PILAS Minors and all Majors. This class blends history, art, alternative journalism, and artivism. You will learn about the spiritual Indigenous roots of this tradition, examine its colonial and modern shifts and help build our campus altar contributing with your own Alebrije that you will make in the class. We will partner with the Jardin Mixteco community in Linda Vista through practices of tequio, or communal work. Earn credit in Latin American Studies, Communication, or as an elective in any major.
