The AIGA Portfolio Review is HERE! Saturday 6/17

Known as the best portfolio review on the West Coast, this is an opportunity for graduating seniors in design and UX/UI programs and design professionals looking to make a change to get valuable one-on-one feedback on portfolio work and career goals. Top Bay Area designers will serve as reviewers. This event is open to students, emerging designers, those who are returning to the profession after some time off, people changing career paths or anyone looking for guidance and feedback.
You will receive 3 reviews throughout the day from experts in the field spanning a range of disciplines. Practice your one-on-one interviewing skills with design professionals and receive valuable feedback on your portfolio.

Hey guys! The AIGA needs some help distributing SF Design Week posters by TOMORROW MORNING. Please please help if you can!

SFDW posters need to be distributed to the hosts of Design Week events. If you have some spare time on your hands, would like an excuse to visit some high-caliber design firms all over town (and want to grab a poster for yourself perhaps), then visit this google link for further instructions:

HELP PHIL HAMLETT (and others) MOVE AIGA ARCHIVES on SATURDAY (4/18)!!

Get some major brownie points with Phil Hamlett TOMORROW. He's organizing an unavoidable storage facility move this Sat (4/18) from 11am-3pm.

The current self-storage, which holds all of AIGA archives, is going out of business, which means we have to move a bunch of boxes to another nearby facility.

Even if you're not able to make it at 11am, you could join in the fun later on by contact Phil via TEXT on his cell phone at 415 819 0153

Please let Phil know if you are at all interested and available, at least for a couple of hours. If they get a bunch of people, it should go super fast. They would also be eternally grateful!!!

We have a last minute need for volunteers for tonight's "A Typeface is a Chair" event at General Assembly (NOT ADOBE).
The address is 225 Bush Street, 5th Floor (East Entrance)

It's primarily registration duties.

I believe we need you there by 6:30pm.
The event starts at 7pm.

Students! Volunteering at conferences is the best way to network and meet new people, while getting to attend the conference for free!

Volunteer and network at Interaction15!

In case you don't know about the conference - it's international - last year it was in Amsterdam, this year it's SF. There are about 900 attendees - all designers - mostly coming from an interaction design background - but really the designers are from every type of background.

We still need about 20 volunteers - some for the conference itself, some for the closing and opening parties.

To get a free ticket, volunteers need to work 8-10 hours over the course of the conference or opening and closing parties.
