We doing a lot of fundraising and such for the Q***r Resource Center at City College San Francisco. Over the next 2.5 years I will be involved in a personal campaign of my own call CCSF students first . Right now the population I am focused on our that of q***r students and those who are homeless we are trying to get their education thanks to Free City.
Due to an Equity Fund we were just granted we are able to get couple of new computers and such, even though we do need a few more; and due to wonderful donations from the community we have new couches and a very nice comfortable area for students to relax. I fought with the help of the most amazing people for $20,000 in equity for the 2018-2019 school year from Associated Students and was approved, that will allow us to hire an extra Lab Aide who doesn't qualify for federal aid. It allows us to also put on a few events coming here and still provide are food and snacks for students.
That doesn't mean we can stop being Frugal with our money . We are closing down for summer. We reopen August 20th. Fall winter semester will be upon us, the evenings darker, and seasonal depression debilitating. Even with free City College is still expensive.
We need the communities help for CCSF students first for our q***r and our homeless students.
