This is what finding your SPOT looks like.
On Thursday, San Jose City College celebrated its 103rd Commencement — and the Class of 2026 made it unforgettable.
More than 450 graduates crossed the stage. 621 students earned 1,051 associate degrees. 643 students earned 753 certificates. The youngest graduate is 13. The oldest is 78.
Valedictorian Ganna Zgama, born in Crimea and displaced by war twice, stood on the SJCC stage for the first time she's ever finished something the way it was meant to be finished — and she's headed to UC Berkeley or USC. ASG President Hazel Tran reminded every graduate that the roots they grew here at SJCC brought them to this moment.
"You are our why," President Dr. Marilyn Flores told the class. "You are the reason this college exists."
Congratulations, Jaguar Class of 2026. 🎓💛💜
