Age is just a number — especially when you're setting up a fourth-quarter sack. 🏈

SJCC defensive lineman Justin Buzzard, a 47-year-old South Bay pastor and father of three, got his first career college football snaps Saturday against College of the Redwoods, capping a comeback story that's captured national attention. On a third-down blitz, Buzzard helped spring linebacker Kyler Headley for the sack — then made sure the QB stayed down.

The San José City College men's basketball team capped an incredible regular season by claiming the 2026 Coast Conference South Division championship — and the postseason accolades followed. Coach Devin Aye was named Coach of the Year, Jremiah Butler earned Conference MVP honors, and Taj Royster was named Freshman of the Year. As conference champions, the Jaguars earned a first-round bye and now host Feather River College Saturday in Round 2 of the 3C2A Northern California Regional playoffs at Percy Carr Gymnasium. Tip-off is at 3:30 p.m. Come support your Jaguars! 🏆🏀💜
