What’s a tank’s favorite music? Heavy metal. 🧀

🤫 That's enough jokes - let's get serious. 🫡

Join Dykee Gorrell, MSLIS, Digital and Data Literacy Librarian📊 for a presentation about the history of technology and its weaponization in war.🛢️⛽ The presentation will particularly focus on the horrors of thermal violence, technologies that utilize electromagnetic radiation to cause intense heat pain in an effort to control people.

After the presentation we will have a short Q/A, and then we will break out into small groups where each group will work together to draft a sketch, with colored pencils and crayons, of a counter-technology to thermal technology. 🔥

🤔Can you tell when a book was made with AI? 🫠 Watch to the end to take the quizzz! ✅

Join Jill Strykowski, and examine the clues people use to identify AI-generated books, and discuss which signals are reliable and which can be misleading. She will also discuss the difference between legitimate use of generative AI, and fraudulent use, where the creator deliberately tries to hide their real identity in order to avoid accountability (and processing returns) for selling slop. 🐖
