SJSU Ceramics professor, Adam Shiverdecker, invites viewers to consider a central question: Where is the field of American ceramic art going? in his first major exhibition as curator, โ€œA Dead Reckoning: Navigating Contemporary Ceramicsโ€ at the Pensacola Museum of Art. A Dead Reckoning brings together artists, who while sharing a common guiding fix in โ€˜clayโ€™, address a range of issues and clay processes that look to monumental scale, nature, consumerism, politics, and history.
