SJSU Material Advantage Material Advantage is a student led chapter promoting student development in Material Science and Engineering and providing numerous resource opportunities

San Jose State University Materials Advantage Chapter promotes student development and provides access to the networking, professional resources, company tours, and scholarships of all 4 national organizations, namely:
ACerS - The American Ceramic Society
AIST - Association for Iron & Steel Technology
ASM International - The Materials Information Society
TMS - The Minerals, Metals and Materials S

ociety. The students are active in the local ASM professional section which hosts monthly dinner meetings, providing great opportunities to learn more about materials engineering in local industry and network with working engineers.
