Happy Harvest from the Cal Poly Trestle Vineyard! 🍇

These Sauvignon Blanc grapes are officially making their way from vine to w**e! Students at the JUSTIN and J. LOHR Center for W**e and Viticulture got hands-on with harvest, sorting freshly picked fruit that will soon become Cal Poly Sauvignon Blanc.

It doesn’t get much more Learn by Doing than this, working with fruit grown right here at Cal Poly and experiencing the w**emaking process from vineyard to bottle. Cheers to harvest season!

There’s nothing quite like that first run onto the field.
This past weekend, Chase II made his first debut at a football game, leading the Mustangs onto the field and bringing a energy that reverberated through the stadium.
The cheers. The green and gold. Moments like this remind us what it means to be a Mustang.

Today, we proudly dedicated the Charles and Claire Jacobson Animal Health Center, a transformative space that brings hands-on learning, interdisciplinary collaboration and state-of-the-art resources together for our students.
Made possible through years of vision, partnership and generosity, the donor-funded center will help prepare the next generation of animal health professionals to meet the industry’s evolving needs.
Thank you to the Jacobson family and all of our donors, faculty, staff, students and supporters who helped bring this vision to life. We can’t wait to see the ideas, innovations and solutions that begin here.

Get ready to experience anatomy like never before!
The Cook Family Gallery – a stunning showcase featuring 20 full animal skeletons and additional skulls representing species of all sizes, from horses and cattle to birds and even rats – was recently installed in the college’s new Charles and Claire Jacobson Animal Health Center.
Replacing an outdated teaching collection, this state-of-the-art gallery, funded by donors John and Cynthia Cook (Liberal Studies, ’82), will give students an incredible hands-on learning resource while also welcoming visitors to explore the fascinating world of animal anatomy. The enclosed glass gallery will be visible from the Animal Health Center lobby, allowing guests to view and interact with the exhibit when classes aren't in session.
And don't miss the centerpiece: a breathtaking 10-foot reticulated giraffe skeleton standing tall at the heart of the display. 🦒
We can't wait to welcome you inside the Cook Family Gallery, where education, discovery and Learn by Doing come together.
