San Luis Obispo College of Law is an accredited branch of Monterey College of Law, a private, non-profit California Accredited Law School.

It is located at 4119 Broad Street, Suite 200, SLO. The new branch campus opened in Fall 2015 and is located at 4119 Broad Street, Suite 200, San Luis Obispo. The J.D., Master of Legal Studies, and concurrent J.D./M.L.S. degree programs will be offered at the new campus. It is anticipated that MCL’s graduate law LL.M. degree program may be added at a future date. MCL has also completed a formal agreement with the University of San Luis Obispo School of Law (USLO) under which, at the completion of the Spring 2015 semester, MCL will accept current USLO students as transfer students to the new branch campus.

San Luis Obispo College of Law Alumnae Roxanna Vazquez-Calderon, Mikayla Regier, Kizzy Garcia, and Blanca E. Mejia sit on the board.

During the Gala, Mikalya announced the Joni Gray Community Service Award.

Big news for SLO County residents seeking a fresh start. The SLO Clean Slate Clinic is moving to a rolling quarterly model, giving community members four chances a year to sign up for free help with record expungement, felony reduction, and arrest record sealing.

San Luis Obispo College of Law is proud to be a long-time partner in this effort.

"As a community-based law school, San Luis Obispo College of Law aims to cultivate graduates who are committed to community service. Our students appreciate the opportunity to help vulnerable members of our community improve their housing and employment prospects and we are proud to be part of this important effort." Since March 2023, the clinic has served 550 community members and filed 1,856 petitions, with a 99.7% success rate on decided petitions.

Over 70 people showed up and participated in the SLO Unity Bar event hosted on campus. Students, alumni, local attorneys and judges came together to celebrate the alliance of the law community promoting diversity in our profession. Thanks to all who showed up!

Nobody asks to be governed by a two-hundred-year-old document. And yet here we are, still living by it.

Two hundred thirty-nine years ago today, the U.S. Constitution was signed in Philadelphia by thirty-nine of the fifty-five delegates who helped write it.

SLOCL has been a branch campus of Monterey College of Law since 2015, right here in San Luis Obispo, training students to put that document to work for people in this community.
