We're excited to announce the 2027 Butch Miles Jazz Festival happening on Saturday, February 6th on the beautiful Texas State University campus! We'll have middle and high school jazz bands all day and a concert at 6:00 featuring the Texas State Jazz Ensemble with featured guest artists Tommy Igoe on drums and Bijon Watson on trumpet! In two days the Jazz Ensemble will be back at Parker Jazz Club for a night of big band jazz! We'll have music from Ellington, Monk, Basie, Oliver Nelson, Sonny Rollins, Vince Mendoza, and Rick Margitza, a couple of great student compositions and arrangements, and the legendary Buddy Rich Band version of the West Side Story Suite!
