Get to know our new Department Chair, Dr. Jordan Gonzales PhD, LMFT, ATR-BC! ⭐️

Dr. Gonzales has been a part of our program since 2015, first as a master’s student, then doctoral student, then guest lecturer, adjunct faculty, and now full time chair. 🐧

As a practicing Art Therapist he enjoys working with resilient youth, emerging adults, ADHD and trauma. 🌱

He loves all art materials, but has a particular fondness for acrylic, watercolor, photography, clay and collage. 🎨

In terms of fashion advice, he’s always had a love for a good pair of boots. He can also do an Elmo impression that will knock the socks off of a two year old! 💁🏻‍♂️

🍀 We’re extremely lucky to have ETC expert, Dr. Lisa D. Hinz, PhD, ATR-BC as our Director of Art Therapy, PhD, and professor in both our Masters and PhD programs ☀️

In Dr. Dobbins’ Child Metaphors summer class we made puppets to represent ourselves as therapists. Then we did a puppet meet and greet, getting introduced to each other’s puppet selves 🥰
