Seminole State College of Florida - Adult & Workforce Education Adult Education provides short term academic & career training programs. Our GED® Prep program provides an alternate pathway to earn a high school diploma.

The Adult and Workforce Education at Seminole State College serves the community by offering short-term career and technical training certificates along with a GED® Prep program leading to a high school diploma. amentals, Building Trade Technologies, Construction Apprenticeship in Fire System Sprinkler Technology, Electrician Helper, Plumber, HVAC/R I & II and Welding are stackable and transferable to associate degree programs for students looking to continue their education and further expand their employment opportunities. When you pass the test you are awarded a high school diploma issued by the Florida Department of Education. The GED® Prep program at Seminole State College has helped thousands of students pass the GED® test, earn their degrees and accomplish their goals! We meet the needs of adult learners using individualized academic plans, innovative classroom instruction, high-tech facilities, industry involvement and hands-on experience. Our GED® Prep program have daytime and evening courses offered at the Altamonte Springs, Oviedo and Sanford/Lake Mary campuses. We also have online and home study options available to help meet the scheduling needs of our busy students. Our Workforce programs are offered in person on the Sanford/Lake Mary campus.

DENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: Residents of Seminole County may qualify for limited dental assistance through the Community Assistance Office.

Services may include:
• Cleanings
• Fillings & extractions
• X-rays
• Root canals & crowns
• Dentures (partial/full)
• Referral costs

Who can apply:
✔ Must live in Seminole County (outside Sanford city limits)
✔ Age 18+
✔ Household income at or below 80% Area Median Income
⚠️ Funds are limited and some applicants may be placed on a waitlist.

Income Guidelines (household size):
1 person – $64,350
2 people – $73,550
3 people – $82,750
4 people – $91,900
5 people – $99,300
6 people – $106,650
7 people – $114,000
8 person $121,350

Priority is given to seniors, veterans, fixed-income households, and individuals receiving county housing services.
