Congratulations to Joshua (Jichan) Seo (CESE ‘20) who has been awarded a 2020 De Novo Fellowship!

The De Novo Fellowship, a collaboration between Santa Clara University’s College of Arts and Sciences and Santa Clara University's School of Engineering, encourages underrepresented STEM students to participate in a faculty-advised research project. Joshua (Jichan) Seo will be designing 3D printable green concrete mix with Tonya Nilsson and Hisham Said.

Fellowships provide student stipends for up to 10 weeks of full-time research plus conference expenses to present posters on their research in the following academic year.

The School of Engineering will be hosting a FREE 2-Day Fall Virtual Engineering Seminar (October 11th & 18th) for all high school students. This program will provide students with a chance to explore the broad possibilities of engineering as a career with the hope of fostering a deeper interest in future engineering study. The Virtual Engineering Seminar (VES) program is geared toward students who have not yet committed to future engineering study and who have had minimal exposure to engineering topics. Due to the high level of student interest, acceptance into this program has become highly competitive, so be sure to get your application in by September 25th!
