Thomas Aquinas College offers a classical Catholic liberal education. The College's program consists of an integrated and orderly study of the liberal arts and sciences, beginning with the fundamental arts of the trivium and quadrivium, proceeding through the natural and political sciences, and culminating in theology. The College achieves its mission chiefly through reflective consideration of se

minal questions raised in classical texts. These texts – often referred to as the “Great Books” – are selected by the faculty under the guidance of the Catholic tradition. In accordance with this tradition, the works of St. Thomas Aquinas occupy a preeminent position in the College’s curriculum. Thomas Aquinas offers one degree program: Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts. After an exciting first week of classes, members of each class at Thomas Aquinas College assembled Saturday afternoon to compete in the annual tug-of-war tournament! After the Sophomore Class took home the victory, a mud fight broke out before all students jumped in the ponds and raced down the slip-n-slide. Joined by the tutors and families, all then feasted on a barbeque dinner and enjoyed lively conversations and games of Spikeball that lasted late into the evening.

As the first week of classes closed, students gathered in front of Gould Lawn to enjoy root beer floats and an afternoon of socializing. Freshmen discussed the ups and downs of their first few classes, happy to be finished but excited to continue their academic journey. Upperclassmen reminisced on their experiences as freshmen and simultaneously discussed their academic advancements and the nature of root beer floats. When the social finished in the late afternoon, everyone felt refreshed and invigorated, ready to conquer the coming weeks.
