Some people leave a lasting mark on a place by being an integral part of its story for so long. 💙

After many years of dedication to Galen College of Nursing, we gathered for a beautiful reception to celebrate our dean, Dr. Joan Frey as she begins her well-earned retirement.

Throughout her tenure at Galen, Dr. Frey has helped shape our campus community, sharing her leadership, knowledge and care with countless students and colleagues along the way. Her impact will continue to be felt long after her last day on campus.

Thank you, Dr. Frey, for the many years you’ve dedicated to Galen and our students. We hope retirement brings you plenty of time to relax, celebrate and enjoy everything ahead. ✨

Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, 2001, our country changed forever. The impact of that day reached far beyond the events themselves, reshaping how health care prepares for crises and supports those on the front lines. As we remember those who were lost and honor the lives forever changed, we also reflect on the lessons that continue to shape the nursing profession. 💙

Hear from Galen leaders Dr. Tracy Ortelli and Dr. Audria Denker as they share their memories of September 11 and reflect on how it forever changed nursing: https://tr.ee/9-11-changed-nursing-forever ✨
