Suncoast Technical College is part of the School Board of Sarasota County and is located in Sarasota, FL. The Main campus has over 75 acres and we also offer courses at our other campuses: North Port, Venice, and Newtown. We believe each individual has varied abilities and talent, and it is Suncoast's goal to help each reach his/her highest potential. It is the responsibility of the staff to assist in the identification of these abilities and talents, to offer learning experiences to help guide the student toward gainful entry level employment and personal satisfaction, to develop the student's employability skills and work ethic, to enhance existing employment skills, and to establish learning situations in which the student can experience success in all phases of the learning process. Italian cuisine is coming to the Bistro at STC North Port! 🍝

Our Culinary Arts students are serving up another Bistro event October 6 through 8, featuring two Italian entrées:
🍗 Pollo alla Parmigiana served over capellini pasta with homestyle pomodoro sauce and grilled garlic bread
🍅 Chicken Florentine topped with sun-dried tomato and spinach Alfredo, served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley

And save room for dessert! Each meal includes a beverage and tiramisu. 😋 2 Italian Bistro Oct. 6-8

Hands-on learning is an essential part of preparing our future nurses! 🩺❤️

Students in the Professional Nursing LPN-RN Diploma program are putting their physical assessment skills into practice by listening to heart, lung, and bowel sounds.

These hands-on activities help students strengthen proper assessment techniques, build confidence, and develop their ability to identify normal and abnormal findings as they prepare for careers in nursing.

Congratulations to STC Cosmetology graduates Cayla Bankson and Surzette Brutus! 🎉💇‍♀️

Cayla and Surzette were selected to receive the Phenix Salon Suites Sarasota Bay Future Beauty Entrepreneurial Award, recognizing their dedication, professionalism, technical skills, client relationships, and entrepreneurial drive.

Each received a $1,500 scholarship providing 10 days of complimentary access to the Phenix OnDemand Hair Salon Suite Program in downtown Sarasota. This opportunity will allow them to begin building their clientele, gain real-world business experience, and explore what it takes to operate their own salon business. ✂️✨

We are incredibly proud to see our graduates taking the skills they developed at STC and turning their passion for cosmetology into exciting career opportunities.

Our first-year Cosmetology students are building their skills one curl at a time! 💇‍♀️✨

Miss Anderson’s students recently practiced vertical perms while learning the techniques behind proper draping, shampooing, and scalp treatments.

And there’s plenty more ahead! Throughout their first year, students develop skills in highlights, color, manicures, pedicures, artificial nails, haircuts, and a variety of styling techniques. All that hands-on training prepares them for their second year, when they continue developing their skills while working with real clients at STC’s Cutting Edge Salon. 💇‍♂️💅

We can’t wait to see what they create next!
