RANKED #16 IN THE STATE!

Coming off of a 1-1 start to the season, the Vikings have been ranked #7 in the north and #16 in the state in the first 3C2AWVCA Top 25 rankings of 2026.

Men’s Water Polo attacker Ali Cinar Nuray represented Türkiye at the 2026 Men’s European U20 Water Polo Championship in Bulgaria, scoring in every match and helping Türkiye to a 3-1 record in group play.

After leading the Vikings with 83 goals as a freshman, Cinar Nuray returns to West Valley ready for year two.

And the wait is almost over. Viking Men’s Water Polo opens the 2026 season this Friday at home.

Women’s Soccer goalkeeper Angelique Hernandez is our first Viking of the Week of the 2026 fall season after recording eight saves across 180 minutes, including a shutout in West Valley’s 1-0 win over Ventura.

The freshman made six saves against defending 3C2A champion Folsom Lake before turning away every shot she faced against Ventura to secure the clean sheet.

The tradition runs deep at West Valley.

Viking alumni were back on the deck today for the annual Men’s Water Polo Alumni Game, celebrating the past and present of one of the most storied programs in the state. Even Coach Willo jumped in the pool!

Always good to have the alumni back on deck. Once a Viking, always a Viking.
