Our Physical Therapist Assistant students turned campus into a health fair this week and they brought their A-game!

Each student researched a topic, then built out their own poster, hands-on activities, and take-home tip sheets to educate the public. A few crowd favorites: why stretching matters more than you think, understanding diabetic neuropathy, and how grip strength can be a window into your overall health.

Huge congrats to our future PTAs for putting their knowledge into action and making health education fun and accessible for everyone who stopped by!

We caught some hands-on learning in action at South University, Savannah!

Our Physical Therapist Assistant students stepped out of the traditional classroom and into a real‑world simulation during this year’s Simulated Patient Treatment experience.

PTA students hosted fellow healthcare students and staff who volunteered as “patients,” giving them the chance to practice communicating, instructing, and adapting to a diverse group of individuals just like they will during their upcoming fall clinical rotations.

Throughout the session, students and volunteers exchanged feedback, strengthened their clinical confidence, and got a firsthand look at what makes the PTA profession so dynamic and rewarding.

This is the kind of immersive, skill‑building opportunity that sets our programs apart. At South University, learning isn’t just listening to a lecture, it’s doing, practicing, and experiencing the work you’ll perform in the field.

We’re proud of our PTA students for embracing the challenge and showcasing the heart of hands‑on healthcare education.
