See message below from Dr. Wolfe!

Hello Armstrong and Georgia Southern - Armstrong Psychology Alums! I am reaching out to see if you would be willing to attend a virtual (zoom) panel discussion with our current psychology interns. I know it would be interesting and informative for them to hear from alumni of our undergraduate psychology program and learn what educational and career paths have been taken by graduates. All career pathways are welcome – it is great for students to see the wide range of potential career pathways that someone might select with an undergraduate psychology degree! The time I have scheduled for the panel is Monday, April 17th from 4:00-5:15. If you would be able to attend for all/most of the scheduled time, I would really appreciate some volunteers! Please email me at [email protected] so that I receive your message immediately. Thank you!!

Sorry for the delay...we had some login problems :) Here we are getting back to our senior intern's (Kian Bennett) interviews with faculty. Here's one with Dr. McCarley!

Kian: Is there a quote or a saying that you live by?

McCarley: "Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by mere incompetence"

Kian: Do you have any pets? If so, what are their names?

McCarley: I have two dogs named Hawkeye and Murray. They are retired racing greyhounds

Kian: What's your proudest accomplishment?

McCarley: Being a professor

Kian: What makes you laugh the most?

McCarley: My husband

Kian: What is the last educational article you have read?

McCarley: A study of the top 5 history of psychology textbooks that tallied how many women and people of color weren't mentioned. An analysis of those books revealed women and people of color were unrepresented among white men.

Kian: What's your dream vacation?

McCarley: To go to Europe and tour famous formal gardens and estates.

Kian: If you could grow up in any decade, which would you choose?

McCarley: I would choose the first ten years of the 1900s, before WW1 broke out.

Kian: What inspires you?

McCarley: The people at work - faculty and students

Kian: Who are your favorite authors?

McCarley: I like Cozy Mystery Audiobooks, which are composed by a variety of authors
