See message below from Dr. Wolfe!

Hello Armstrong and Georgia Southern - Armstrong Psychology Alums! I am reaching out to see if you would be willing to attend a virtual (zoom) panel discussion with our current psychology interns. I know it would be interesting and informative for them to hear from alumni of our undergraduate psychology program and learn what educational and career paths have been taken by graduates. All career pathways are welcome – it is great for students to see the wide range of potential career pathways that someone might select with an undergraduate psychology degree! The time I have scheduled for the panel is Monday, April 17th from 4:00-5:15. If you would be able to attend for all/most of the scheduled time, I would really appreciate some volunteers! Please email me at [email protected] so that I receive your message immediately. Thank you!!

Sorry for the delay...we had some login problems :) Here we are getting back to our senior intern's (Kian Bennett) interviews with faculty. Here's one with Dr. McCarley!

McCarley: "Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by mere incompetence"

McCarley: To go to Europe and tour famous formal gardens and estates.

Kian: If you could grow up in any decade, which would you choose?

McCarley: I would choose the first ten years of the 1900s, before WW1 broke out.

Kian: What inspires you?

McCarley: The people at work - faculty and students

Kian: Who are your favorite authors?

McCarley: I like Cozy Mystery Audiobooks, which are composed by a variety of authors

One of our amazing Senior Interns, Kian Bennett, decided to do some fun interviews of the Armstrong Campus Psychology faculty. Her hope was to give everyone a chance to get to know a little bit more about them, beyond what you’d learn in just classroom conversations! We'll post her interviews with the faculty each week. This week, she interviewed Dr. Williams! Thanks, Kian!

Kian: What inspires you?
Dr. Williams: My wife and my kids inspire me to be a better person. Also, I’m inspired by people who are persistent when they are faced with challenges.

Kian: What song do you know all the lyrics to?
Dr. Williams: I tend to remember song lyrics well, but if I had to give a brief answer, anything by Iron Maiden and Neil Young.

Kian: What makes you laugh the most?
Dr. Williams: When my “dad jokes” fail and I try to explain them. Also, I enjoy the show, “Impractical Jokers.”

Kian: What's your biggest fear?
Dr. Williams: Someone or something hurting my family.

Kian: What's is your greatest accomplishment?
Dr. Williams: Earning my Ph.D.
