EMPLOYEE PROFILE: Jacob Carter
Jacob Carter is beginning his first year as a public speaking instructor on East Mississippi Community Colleges’ Scooba campus.
Carter teaches Public Speaking, helping students develop the communication skills and confidence needed to effectively communicate in academic, professional and everyday settings.
Before joining EMCC, Carter served as a graduate student communication coordinator for the Early Childhood ECHO Project at Mississippi State University.
Carter earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from Mississippi State University in 2023. He continued his education at Mississippi State, earning a Master of Arts in Communication in 2025.
As he begins his first semester at EMCC, Carter said he is excited about the opportunity to join the college and looks forward to the year ahead.
