Falcon Football Legacy Day was everything we hoped it would be and more.

Our alumni came home to Scranton, the Spring Game brought the energy, and the Build the Future Reception reminded us exactly why this program matters. The connection in that room, between former players, coaches, supporters, and community, is what Lackawanna College is built on.

Thank you to every Falcon who showed up, gave back, and helped write the next chapter of this story. 🏈

A new scholarship is making a lasting impact on the next generation of law enforcement.

The Daniel J. Beky Memorial Clay Shoot recently awarded its first scholarships to five cadets enrolled in Lackawanna College’s Act 120 municipal police training program, including three recipients from Scranton Class 266: Jeffrey Alvarado, Mohamed Elkadousy, and Ariel Kellam, each receiving $2,000 toward their training.

The scholarship honors Daniel J. Beky, who dedicated more than 45 years to law enforcement in northeastern Pennsylvania. His wife April established the fund to carry forward his passion for the profession and support the cadets who share it.

Additional scholarship opportunities are available this year for Hazleton Class 267 cadets, and the next clay shoot is scheduled for September 18, 2026.
