From first-semester nerves to summer internship ready. 🖤💙

Today marks the last day of classes before our first year PTA students before they head out for summer internships, and we can’t help but look back on just how far they’ve come. From unforgettable moments like teaming up with nursing students during massage lab to all the laughter, learning, teamwork, and growth along the way… this semester has been one for the books.

These memories are just the beginning. Now it’s time to take those skills beyond the classroom and into the real world. We are so proud of each and every one of you for how much you’ve grown, supported one another, and prepared for this next chapter!!

Go shine, Class of 2027 — your journey is just getting started. 💪✨

Last night was one for the books ✨

Our second-year PTA students officially celebrated their pinning ceremony, and what an incredible night it was. We are beyond proud of each graduate and all the hard work, growth, resilience, and heart that brought them to this moment.

From proud tears to endless laughter, positive vibes filled every corner of Pop-Up Wisteria. It was a night to celebrate not only future PTAs, but the amazing individuals they’ve become along the way.

Congratulations, Class of 2026 — your Lackawanna College PTA family is so proud of you. Your future is bright, and this is only the beginning 💙🎓

Spring Fling = PTA memories officially unlocked 🦘🐐🌞

Today, our PTA students and program staff fully embraced the fun at Spring Fling—and let’s just say… it did NOT disappoint.

From meeting baby kangaroos (joeys!) and goats 🐾
To playing in the sand
To scoring free t-shirts + food 👕🍔
To conquering the blow-up obstacle course…

There was no shortage of laughs, competition, or unforgettable moments.

Special shoutout to Adan for taking the student win on the obstacle course 🏆
And in Program Staff competition… Dr. Murray absolutely kicked Dr. Reedy’s butt 😂

Safe to say our PTA crew knows how to work hard AND play hard.

Day 3 of Spirit Week = WAY BACK WEDNESDAY 🕺✨

From disco vibes to neon nights, throwback fits to old-school classics… students and staff took it back to their favorite decade today 😎📼

Because no matter the era, one thing stays the same—this crew knows how to show up, have fun, and keep Spirit Week unforgettable.

Which decade would YOU choose? 👀

Day 2 of Spirit Week = COLOR WARS 💙🖤

Tobin Hall understood the assignment in BLUE, staff came ready in BLACK… and in true healthcare fashion, black + blue = ECCHYMOSIS 😎🩺

Yes… is loud, proud, and slightly bruised (educationally, of course).

Did you know? Now you do. 😂

✨ Honoring excellence, leadership, and the future of physical therapy! ✨

This past Tuesday evening, our incredible second-year PTA students were recognized at Honors Convocation as members of the APTA PTA Honor Society — a true reflection of their hard work, dedication, academic achievement, and commitment to the profession. 👏🎓

We are so proud to celebrate these students for not only their success in the classroom, but also for the compassion, perseverance, and professionalism they bring to the PTA journey each day.

Your Lackawanna College PTA family is beyond proud of you — keep leading, learning, and making a difference! 💙💛

Watching future PTAs discover posture, movement, and alignment never gets old 👏✨

One of Dr. Reedy’s FAVORITE labs to teach with her first-year PTA students—because posture is so much more than “stand up straight.” It’s observation, critical thinking, body awareness, and the foundation for understanding how alignment impacts movement, function, and patient care.

Getting to blend her passion from both the classroom and real-world practice makes this one extra special every single year. 💙

From postural assessment to clinical reasoning… these students are building skills they’ll carry far beyond the lab. And yes… they had WAY too much fun doing it and so did Dr. Reedy!!😎

💀🕺 PTA Lab energy: when open lab time somehow turns into a full-blown conga line.

Who knew our skeleton crew had this much rhythm? One of our students gave lab a little extra life today. 😂

, we take learning seriously… but we’re definitely not above having a little fun along the way. Because sometimes the best way to survive lab and prep in to finals week is teamwork, laughter, and apparently synchronized skeletal movement.

🧠✨ Learning how to think like a PTA… one question at a time.

Before jumping into today’s lecture and lab, our students kicked things off by creating their own multiple choice questions based on prior material 👏

Why does this matter?
Because it’s not just about memorizing content—it’s about:
✔️ Applying concepts
✔️ Identifying what really matters
✔️ Thinking like you’re already sitting for boards

This kind of active review helps bridge the gap between lecture ➡️ lab ➡️ real patient care 💪

And yes… PTAs absolutely need strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills—this is where it starts.
