When did you first join the faculty of this department, and what do you specialize in?

“I joined the faculty in Fall 2022. My clinical experience and specialization span critical care, emergency medicine, and family practice.”

2. What is one fun fact about yourself?

“I played soccer until I was 35 and have never broken a single bone!”

COLLEGE OF NURSING. Part-time Clinical Nursing Faculty, Searcy Arkansas

Seeking part-time nursing faculty in adult medical/surgical and/or critical care sub-specialities for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in Searcy, Arkansas.

The successful candidates should maintain an active, unencumbered nursing license; be eligible for RN licensing in the state of Arkansas; have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a graduate degree in Nursing (preferred); and have at least 2 years of nursing practice experience in medical surgical or critical care settings.

Responsibilities include teaching and leading undergraduate clinical groups in nursing practice settings, evaluating student preparation and written clinical assignments, assisting with simulation, evaluation of clinical competency and performance and leading pre and post clinical conferences to meet course clinical objectives.

“I started in January 2022, and my specialty is pediatrics.”

“I love The Lord of the Rings books, and if the nursing department let me I would teach a semester-long class on it!”

🌟FACULTY SPOTLIGHT🌟

Dr. Dona Clarin (DNP, APRN, FNP-BC) is the director in our FNP program!

1. When did you first join the faculty of this department and what do you specialize in?

I joined Harding in 2014. I have been a FNP for over 22 years. I have worked in pediatric & adult urgent and primary care, correctional care, geriatric care, and pediatric neurology. I teach a variety of courses for our program i.e. pediatric/adolescent health, Reproductive health, Epidemiology, Leadership & Health Policy, Advanced Health Assessment, Advanced Pathophysiology, and Advanced Role Development.

2. What is one fun fact about you?

I am not sure about a fun fact, but I do love to travel, Ole Miss Football, and of course dogs (we have 3; Harley, Archie, and Leo). I am married and 2 kiddos. My daughter is a zookeeper at the Memphis zoo and takes care of the Tigers. My son works with a specialized electrical company in the Kansas City area.

We are thankful for her dedication and the time that she has poured into this department!
