This lovely local respite offers dappled shade, greenspace and fresh air - great for a picnic with friends or bring the younger set to get their wiggles out on the playground! In the meantime, send this to someone who’s overdue for a rest. They deserve the reminder 🌴☀️

**🚨Community Partner Highlight: !🚨**

This week, we're uplifting FareStart! This local nonprofit focuses on job training and employment. The food-based business serves as a classroom for program participants to learn on-the-job skills that will prepare them for careers while nourishing the community and sustainably funding an important mission. FareStart's end goal is personal stability and economic mobility for people overcoming barriers to employment, such as homelessness, post-incarceration and more.
**
Seattle University students from across various disciplines and colleges experience FareStart from behind the scenes, conducting practice interviews with program participants, collecting and distributing fresh produce from partner farms, supporting events and administrative needs. Due to FareStart’s need and ability to host **lots** of volunteers, they are a popular choice for instructors who want SU students to experience the volunteer side of nonprofits, working directly with people in the community.

It's hard to beat a classic. The Lemieux Library Plaza is a great place to study, but have you ever just sat outside and enjoyed the space? It's a great background for summer activities, group hangouts or just a moment of fresh air. Sit near the top for a view and sounds of the waterfall behind you, or sprawl on the grass below.
