Since 2020, Highline College has paired students facing homelessness with housing vouchers provided by the King County Housing Authority. It seems to be working.

Prof. Tetyana Matsyuk received 's "Everyday Excellence Award" this month. This is a campus-wide recognition for her dedication and accomplishments. Well done, Tetyana! That is amazing and so well-deserved.

Highline College's Hospitality and Tourism Management (HOST) program was once again ranked #1 AAS degree in the state of Washington via USA Department of Education data (hospitality-colleges.com) for the 2025-2026 school year (see chart below)! HOST was also ranked #6 in the Pacific Northwest, with only bachelor's degrees or higher institutions such as Washington State and Oregon State being ranked ahead. We even beat some universities such as University of Montana and Southern Oregon Univ!

The article focuses on the cross-cultural capacity of hotels, and specifically how they can build a sustainable competitive advantage by working with local populations in their community. HOST takes an annual field trip to Indonesia. We just returned. These are our group photos from our June 2026 field trip!

HOSTers went on their annual field trip to Indonesia. We have so many thousands of photos - and not one of those photos does the trip justice. So, here are the best group photos. And next year, come join us! The trip application will open to applicants in late November 2026 with a deadline of mid-January 2027. The trip will take place in May and June of 2027. This is a grant-based trip, meaning the cost to students is miniscule compared to the actual price of the trip.
