Christine is one of 20 extraordinary individuals to receive this year’s $800,000, no-strings-attached grant in recognition of her exceptional creativity and impact.
By using American Sign Language (ASL) grammar, musical notation, and visual art, Christine completely redefines how we experience sound, language, and communication. Her boundary-pushing work challenges the hearing world's assumptions and opens up powerful new ways of understanding connection.
