💻 Ponencia "La guerra de independencia del Perú y las promesas de libertad de los soldados afro, 1821-1830" por el Dr. Hugo Contreras, profesor asociado del Dpto. de Ciencias Históricas y Geográficas de la Universidad de Tarapacá (Chile).

El alistamiento de soldados afro, que estaban bajo régimen de esclavitud en el Perú, no solo fue masivo por ambos bandos, sino que se hizo bajo promesas de libertad. Estas se plasmaron en distintas disposiciones y decretos que se dictaron desde 1820 en adelante y que mucho tuvieron que ver en su cumplimiento con las urgencias o tardanzas de la guerra, donde estos soldados y sus regimientos, tuvieron una acción continua, pero que poco se ha destacado en el relato sobre el proceso independentista peruano.
