We focus on building lifetime friendships, and positively impacting the community. We achieve this by providing resources for personal and academic success, as well as hosting and attending social and philanthropic events. One aspect that sets Delta Tau Delta apart from the UW greek system is our philanthropic excellence. Our primary philanthropic event is our annual Ms. Greek Pageant, where we in
vite a representative from each sorority to participate. Greek is a fundraiser to support Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. In our 26 years of hosting this event, we have raised over 1.5 million dollars in support of the Fred Hutchinson Institute. This enlists our philanthropy as the largest of any greek philanthropy west of the Mississippi! Delta Tau Delta's central office allows any active member to attend leadership conferences. This past year, 10 members attended a 4-day leadership conference in Palm Springs, CA. Additionally, 3 members went to "Karnea", Delta Tau Delta's national conference in Austin Texas. All freshmen at UW Delts are eligible to apply for a $1000 scholarship. Scholarships are also allotted to initiated members based on character and financial need. Additionally, "Dean's List Checks" of $100 per quarter are provided to members that achieve a quarterly GPA 3.5 and over. Although learning from the undergraduate members is vital to any Delt's experience, we also enjoy a wealth of Alumni advising. UW Delts has an active Alumni Advising Team as well as a Delts NW Alumni Association, both of which provide exceptional resources in the area of career development and planning. If you want to learn what it means to be a Gamma Mu Delt, please contact either of our Recruitment Chairs or President.
