The Seattle Pacific Seminary trains the next generation of Christian leadership to engage the multicultural context of our world with the powerfully humble message of Jesus Christ. We dare to hope that our students will be sent out as intellectually stimulated, spiritually transformed, mission-focused servants of the gospel.

We are offering a unique class in Fall 2026 that explores the theological doctrine of the church in the context of the Pacific Northwest. Through this course we aim to deepen the church’s worship and strengthen its love for the least of these. This offers a space to creatively look at ministry possibilities here in the PNW.

Enrollment is limited, and seats are filling quickly. Interested students are encouraged to register soon. Ministry leaders may also audit and participate by contacting the seminary.

We hope you continue to grow in wonder, love, and praise.

Seattle Pacific seminarians, alumni, faculty, emeriti, and loved ones gathered together this past week at Camp Casey on Whidbey Island. We spent our time reuniting with old peers and mentors, laughing and sharing intentional spaces of worship. Our beloved professors, Dr. Strong and Dr. Steele centered us in morning devotionals. Rev. Dr. Andrew Root led us to reflect on the theme “Faith as Journeying Together,” as we discussed what pilgrimage means for everyday life. We ended our time with a concert from singer songwriter, John Van Deusen who created a free space to wonder and express deepfelt emotions through his music.

We were grateful to have this special time with all those who were able to attend. Thank you also to Pivot Northwest for hosting this event!

We hope you continue to grow in wonder, love, and praise.

This book, written by Andrew and Kara K. Root (husband and wife), is a great invitation into letting go, reconnecting, and getting a teeny bit of theology in the form of a relaxing summer read. The book weaves philosophical reflection on the busyness of our society with parenting and cultural Christianity—all filtered through a familial pilgrimage on St. Cuthbert’s Way, which is on the border of England and Scotland.

Free copy of A Pilgrimage Into Letting Go for Early Bird registrants, by June 1 (while supplies last)! This book would be a great way to prepare for the retreat, as well as a great summer read.

The Wesleyan revival sparked a spiritual renewal that shaped much of Western Christianity in the 18th century. Are we seeing a similar awakening today among Gen Z Christians? This lecture will explore how the church can draw upon the riches of the Wesleyan heritage to experience deep renewal and vitality in our day.
