Executive Office Hours is an opportunity for students to discuss career goals and ideas with seasoned professionals. If you are exploring different career options or want to confirm what it’s like to work in a certain function, industry, or company, sign up on Foster Jobs for some individual time with one of our executives during their Office Hours at MBA Career Management.
Executive Office Hours professionals from a variety of functions and industries volunteer their time to Foster MBA students throughout the academic year. They enjoy the opportunity to be of assistance during this transitional time in your career. Meetings are most productive for both parties when you bring your specific questions and natural curiosity.
Office Hours is
• an MBA Career Management program organized to assist you with your career development and networking
• an opportunity for you to sit down 1 to 1 with an accomplished executive or entrepreneur and discuss your career plan ideas, their industry and function
• an informational interview already set up for you on campus
Executive Office Hours Tips
• Read the description on Foster Jobs, including the professional’s Discussion Topics, and LinkedIn bio. Make sure your interests are in alignment before you sign up.
• Bring your resume and lots of questions.
• Whenever possible, remove your RSVP 48 hours in advance if you find you cannot make the appointment. There often is a wait list, and we hate to have executives experience an empty time slot.
• If an emergency occurs and you cannot make it, please let me know as soon as possible. ([email protected])
• To give others a chance to participate, please limit your Executive Office Hours visits to about 2 per quarter.
• If there is a persistent wait list for an executive, we will do our best to extend their hours and/or schedule them for another visit in the same quarter. Many of the executives will return next quarter, and there will be new ones scheduled as well.
Please see the attached for a list of participating Office Hours volunteers for this fall.
