The work of Parent & Family Program is to provide parents & families equitable access to information and programs in support of their student’s success, communicate the value of the Husky experience at UW, engage in and support the life of the university and create their own Husky experience, enriching not only the lives of students but the University community at large.

Hi, Parents! Is your Husky an incoming 2nd year or up looking for a leadership position or way to add to the UW community? The New Student and Transfer Programs are currently searching for eligible mentors for the upcoming school year. After completing a short survey, students will be paired with an incoming Husky based on common interests, backgrounds, academics, and professional aspirations! This opportunity is a great way to practice leadership and mentorship! If your husky is interested, direct them to the NSTP Husky Peer Mentor Page to get matched with a new Husky the first week of classes!

Juneteenth is a day of celebration, recognizing the end of chattel slavery on June 19, 1865 in the United States. It is also a day for reflection on the history of the inequalities that were rooted in our system, preventing Black individuals from pursing an equitable and just future. ❤💛💚🖤

Our 2025-2026 school year has come to an end. We want to thank each and every Husky, Husky Parent, and Husky Family Member for all the support that was provided throughout this year. We are incredibly grateful to have such an amazing system of families be there for us, their student, and the UW. 💜💛

Husky Families, it's that time of the year again! 💜💛

It is time to celebrate the successes of our Class of 2026 Graduates at UW's 151st Commencement Ceremony! 🎓

We are SO proud of each and every one of our Huskies, and are more than excited to commemorate all the hard work that they've dedicated throughout the years. We wish them love, happiness, and success as they strive towards a boundless future! 🎉

🎓 Commencement is on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Husky Stadium. Doors will open at 12:00 PM, and the program will begin promptly at 1:30 PM.

🎓 Come grab a commemorative Mom/Dad Fan to cheer on your Husky at Commencement! After this year, this fan design will retire, so get them while you can!

📍 Available at the Visitor Center located on campus by Odegaard Undergraduate Library.

Here are some tips we wanted to share if you intend to be at the event!
💜 Come early — The 2026 FIFA games are starting soon, and as a proud sponsor of the event, the UW fields are being used by players for practice. Make sure to come early to avoid traffic and to secure a seat at the event!

💛 Plan ahead — Along with coming early, make sure to plan ahead! Whether it’s using a car, driving services, or public transportation, make sure to keep up to date with traffic and time schedules so that you arrive on time!

💜 Prepare for the Weather — Make sure to keep an eye on the weather! Washington is known for having constant shifts in temperature, so be prepared for wind, rain, or shine!

💛 Stay hydrated — Make sure to bring a sealed bottle of water to the event! In the scenario where the weather is warmer, it’s always a good idea to stay hydrated during long ceremonies.

Yippee! 🎉

We were able to hit 100 gifts on Husky Giving Day, and have reached our THIRD milestone for our HGD campaign, which unlocks an additional $10,000 for our Huskies! When UW Families give together, we unlock more for students. As our community hits each milestone, a generous Bellevue family releases the next chunk of challenge funds. 🎯

In addition to all the generous gifts, that's an additional $15,000 for our Huskies! 📣

Thank you to the Pack for banding together to create a difference for our Huskies. Your support, whether big or small, shapes the future for our students 🐾

Husky Giving Day is only for another few hours! We've hit many amazing goals across campus, and we are so, so thankful to everyone who has been part of this amazing day 💜💛
