We’re thrilled to share that Seattle University’s Arts Ecosystem Research Project (AERP) has been awarded over $36K from 4Culture’s Doors Open funds! This generous support, spread over 2025, 2026, and 2027, lays a strong foundation for our work in the years ahead.

With this funding, we’re planning exciting new goals, including continued development of the AERP Timeline and additional in-person programs to connect and inspire our community. Stay tuned for more updates as we shape the future of arts research in Seattle!

The Chronicle is accepting applications for the 2025 cohort of Philanthropy & Nonprofit Accountability Fellows. Each year we select four news organizations to participate, awarding $30,000 to support training and enhance their coverage of nonprofits.

Our goal is to give local news organizations access to the tools and training they need to write powerful stories that examine the role of nonprofits and foundations in their communities and attract and engage more readers. Fellows work closely with Chronicle reporters to develop, report, and publish articles about the people and organizations in their regions that are trying to solve pressing problems.

We are thrilled to share that Katrina Fasulo, a graduate of the Seattle University MFA in Arts Leadership program, was selected, and participated in the most recent cohort of the prestigious BMP: Producer Academy!

This 8-week virtual program, hosted by Beth Morrison Projects, is a transformative opportunity for early-career producers and arts administrators to gain expert training in producing performing arts and invaluable networking opportunities. 🎉 Congratulations to James Miles for leading the virtual workshop on October 16, 2024, It’s Bigger than Hip Hop: Why Folks Say It Controls Your Brain, as part of the John F. On September 19th, the Arts Leadership kickoff event was filled with excitement and inspiration as we began the start of this new cohort's journey together.

From dynamic conversations to creative visions, we’re so happy to have been able to welcome MFA 26, and are looking forward to the impact this incredible cohort will make in the arts.
