In this month we NAFA ASSOCIATION, have double celebration; first, we celebrate the "National Freedom Day" February 1, 1865 when President Abraham Lincoln signed the Amendment outlawing slavery in the US which was ratified by the states months later.
Second, we are celebrating the beginning of the process when NAFA ASSOCIATION began the process of assuming the position and control of the prestigious name of UNPAM University. February 1, 2004 when President Humphrey Humberto Pachecker signed the corporate statutes declaring UNPAM property of NAFA, which was ratified by the Free State of Puerto Rico in August, 2004.
Today twelve (12) years have passed and we continue to struggle to establish international awareness of our theme in UNPAM, "bastion against poverty in America and the Caribbean."
We hope to achieve this 2016 to reach the highest echelons of the US federal government with our theme; as we already reached the higher sphere of the National Bar Association, A.B.A. with this issue, which several ABA’S Committees have embraced since last Fall of 2014.
The prestigious name UNPAM - PUA 'Universidad de Los Pueblos de las Americas’ – ‘People's University of the Americas’, originally was established in San Juan, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico in 1967, by the Holy Christian Orthodox Church, oldest in history, founded by Santiago on the eve of the Christian crucifixion.
At its beginnings, PUA-(UNPAM) opened two schools: the School of Theology and Canon Law and the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature. The master's and doctoral courses were available later. En este mes en NAFA ASSOCIATION tenemos doble celebración, primero, celebramos el “National Freedom Day” Febrero 1, 1865 cuando el Presidente Abraham Lincoln firmó la Enmienda declarando ilegal la esclavitud en EUA la cual fue ratificada por los estados meses mas tardes. Segundo, estamos celebrando el comienzo del proceso cuando NAFA ASSOCIATION comenzó el procedimiento de asumir la posición y control del prestigioso nombre de Universidad UNPAM. Febrero 1, 2004 cuando el Presidente Humphrey Humberto Pachecker firmó los estatutos corporativos declarando a UNPAM propiedad de NAFA, lo cual fue ratificado por el Estado Libre de Puerto Rico en Agosto, 2004.
Ya han transcurrido doce (12) años y continuamos luchando para establecer conciencia a nivel internacional de nuestro tema en UNPAM, “Bastión contra la pobreza en America y el Caribe.”
Esperamos logran en este año 2016 llegar a las altas esferas del gobierno federal de estados unidos con nuestro tema; ya logramos llegar a la alta esfera del Colegio Nacional de Abogados, A.B.A., con este tema, el cual varios comités lo han abrazado desde el pasado año, en otoño 2014.
El prestigioso nombre de UNPAM – PUA ‘Universidad de los Pueblos de las Américas’ ‘People’s University of the Americas, originalmente se estableció en San Juan, Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico en el año 1967, por la Santa Iglesia Ortodoxa Cristiana, el templo cristiano más antiguo de la historia, fundada por Santiago en la víspera de la crucifixión. Inicios, PUA-UNPAM abrió con dos escuelas: la Facultad de Teología y Derecho Canónico y la Facultad de Filosofía y Literatura. Los Cursos de maestría y doctorado estaban disponibles.
