With the events going on in Charlottesville and elsewhere throughout the country, we do not tolerate, nor support any acts of terror, violence or hate against any group of people. Greek Life at Susquehanna believes in the shared values of our member Fraternities and that they drive us to create better communities. We are made up of individuals who are bound together in a common loyalty which transcends any personal selfishness. Being in a fraternity teaches us Truth, Temperance, and Tolerance, extols virtue, exacts harmony, and extends a helping hand to all who seek it. We believe in the life based upon integrity, justice, sincerity, patience, moderation, culture, and challenge in order to serve as a responsible, mature member of society. We believe in the broad conception of democracy which seeks freedom of opportunity, and recognizes no color, race, creed, or position. We believe in the development of the best and truest fraternal spirit, and using wisdom in each deed and plan with justice for each fellow man allow for us to prosper. We believe in the intrinsic worth of everyone at our side, and in their ability to make good in this world.

The first ever New Member scholarship application process has come to completion. We would like to thank everyone who applied! You made this a tough, rigorous decision process, as all the applications that were reviewed were representative of the values of the IFC and the Greek community. With that, we would like to congratulate Ryan Carter on being the first recipient! Congrats Ryan!

The Greek Community sends their love to the brothers of Phi Beta Sigma. We are all deeply sorry for your loss and will always remember the smile that Corey brought to so many. His legacy will continue to live on and Phi Beta Sigma will continue to be strong. Rest in peace Corey.

Over the summer, Lizzie of Sigma Kappa was able to spend two months living in Sydney. She worked in the Human Resources Department for FTI Consulting – a global advisory firm. While working there, she learned a lot and was able to also work closely with the office in Hong Kong. Overall, she had a great experience, met a lot of talented people and couldn’t have asked for a better internship experience. While in Australia, she was able to travel around Sydney, take a trip to the Blue Mountains and visited the Gold Coast. She says it was definitely worth the 24-hour flight!

IFC is co-sponsoring "The Hunting Grounds" tonight at 8PM in Everett Dining Hall. It is an amazing and eye-opening documentary on sexual assault on college campuses. We would love to see you there!
